National Education Policy (NEP) & Early Childhood Education

The National Education Policy (NEP) emphasizes early childhood education as the foundation for lifelong learning. It identifies the Foundational Stage as a crucial phase in a child’s growth, focusing on play-based, experiential, and developmentally appropriate learning, rather than early academic pressure.

NEP advocates that children should begin formal schooling only when they are emotionally, socially, and cognitively ready—ensuring a joyful, confident, and stress-free start to their educational journey.

Our NEP-Aligned Preschool Age Criteria

At Early Blossoms Child Care Centre, we follow NEP guidelines to nurture every child at the right pace.

              •           Playgroup: 1.6 to 2 years

              •           Pre-Nursery: 2 to 3 years

              •           Nursery: 3 to 4 years

              •           Lower Kindergarten (LKG): 4 to 5 years

              •           Upper Kindergarten (UKG): 5 to 6 years

By the age of 6 years, children complete their foundational years with us, well-prepared—academically, socially, and emotionally—for a smooth transition into formal schooling.
